China Car Custom, backed by Xiaomi, announced the two-seater, 2-door SC01 electric sports car powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 320kW (429hp).
China Car Custom promises a low-priced electric sports car, being the latest to join the car manufacturing bandwagon.
Returning to the SC01 electric sports car, this majestic looking roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. This car comes with a low car weight of 1,300 kg and is driven by dual electric motors with a peak power of 320 kW.
Dimensionally, this electric sports car has a length of 4,085 millimeters, a width of 1,820 millimeters, a height of 1,162 millimeters, and has a wheelbase of 2,500 millimeters.
The dual electric motors of this model can produce up to 435 horsepower and have a NEDC range of over 500 kilometers.
The SC01 is a two-seater electric sports car built for pure driving pleasure, with SC in its model name meaning “sports car”, according to company founder Feng Xiaotong.
In addition to its attractive appearance and decent power figure, this car comes with a starting price of $42,000. The company has already received orders for interested customers. The company plans to start production next year, with deliveries set to begin before the end of 2023.
Potential customers only need to deposit RMB 199 (less than $28) to secure their position in the queue.
China Car Custom is a company backed by Xiaomi, and the smartphone maker’s co-founder and senior vice president Liu De is one of its directors.
