XCharge Europe and XCharge North America, subsidiaries of Nasdaq-listed XCHG Limited, have entered a strategic partnership with Saudi mobility services company Electromin to roll out battery-integrated fast-charging systems across Saudi Arabia, the companies said. The deployment will focus on locations with limited grid capacity, using XCharge’s GridLink technology to support the Kingdom’s electric vehicle adoption and decarbonisation goals.

Electromin, which operates Saudi Arabia’s largest EV charging network and serves as the exclusive distributor for Volvo Cars in the country, will provide full turnkey services including installation, commissioning and maintenance.

The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan, which targets 30% EV adoption in Riyadh by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2060. XCharge said its GridLink system can deliver nearly 200 kW of DC fast-charging power while drawing just 44 kW from the local grid, using an integrated battery with a standard capacity of 215 kWh, scalable to 430 kWh.

The partners said the system is designed for deployment at fuel stations, supermarkets and remote sites where conventional high-capacity grid connections would be costly or unavailable. The charger also supports direct DC fast charging from on-site solar generation and includes a 55-inch integrated display for user interaction and advertising. Safety features include liquid-cooled thermal management, gas detection sensors, automated ventilation and built-in fire suppression technology. The system supports OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1 communication standards and multiple connectivity options.

“E-mobility is in a very early stage in Saudi Arabia, and Electromin is ahead of the curve in the market,” said Mowafak AlSaadi, Director of eMobility Sales and Marketing at Electromin. “XCharge’s GridLink technology allows us to accelerate our rollout timeline significantly while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.” XCharge said it will supply the charging hardware, training and remote technical support, while Electromin will manage on-the-ground operations nationwide through the Petromin Group’s service network.
