XCharge EU has opened a new 5,000-square-foot technical centre near Madrid to strengthen its customer support and accelerate development of high-power charging solutions, the company said on Thursday.
Located in Torrejón de Ardoz, the facility combines offices, a testing laboratory, a logistics warehouse and a workshop. It will serve customers in Spain and neighbouring European markets such as Germany, France, Portugal, Italy and Greece, as well as in Latin America.
“Madrid is a strategic location within our European network,” said Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge EU. “The new centre strengthens our customer service and support capabilities by serving as a hub for testing and integration of the latest standards and most innovative technologies in electric mobility.”
The site is equipped with XCharge’s latest charging systems, including its 200-kW C6, the 400-kW liquid-cooled C7, and the Net Zero Series, which can deliver up to 210 kW using as little as 6 to 60 kW of grid power. The centre will also be used to validate interoperability with new EV models, conduct joint studies with partners, and train technicians in service and repair.
“The new technical centre represents a fundamental step in our national and international expansion plan,” said Javier Lázaro, Sales Director at XCharge EU. “Not only does it allow us to significantly improve our delivery times and technical support in Southern Europe and Latin America, but it also provides us with an advanced environment to boost our R&D in terms of performance, interoperability, and adaptability.”
XCharge EU, which last year opened a similar test site in Hamburg, said the Madrid location also includes a spare parts warehouse designed to cut delivery times to 24–48 hours across the Iberian Peninsula.
