The Wuling Air ev is the first electric vehicle model from SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) for the global market. This electric vehicle has these features, including Integrated Floating Widescreen with 10.25 inch meter cluster screen (7 inches for Standard Range) and the same sized head unit screen, Extended Horizon LED DRL, Electric Parking Brake, Hill Hold Control, Auto Vehicle Holding (AVH), ABS, EBD, TPMS, WIND, IoV, sound module for pedestrian warning, ISOFIX, ESC, and Smart Start System.
Wuling Air ev is equipped with a single electric motor that has a maximum power of 30 kW, or the equivalent of 40 hp and also a torque of 110 Nm.
For the battery, it uses a type of lithium ferro-phosphate whose capacity is distinguished from its variants. For the Standard Range variant, the battery has a capacity of 17.3 kWh with a range of up to 200 kilometers.
As for the Long Range type, which can cover a distance of up to 300 kilometers, it carries a battery with a capacity of 26.7 kWh. Wuling said that the specifications of the electric motor and battery capacity were very suitable for the transportation needs of urban communities.
Wuling also guarantees the safety of its electric car users, because the Wuling Air ev battery has passed 16 endurance test models in various conditions and situations.
Tests carried out include drop tests, repeated rotations, fire, water immersion, impact, and vibration to ensure the battery remains safe for daily use by users.
