Chinese automaker Voyah, a premium electric vehicle brand under Dongfeng Motor, has unveiled its new Taishan 9L SUV, a three-row, six-seat plug-in hybrid aimed at the high-end market, according to filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

The model features technology from Huawei, including the ADS 4.0 advanced driver-assistance system and Harmony OS infotainment platform.

The Taishan 9L is positioned as Voyah’s flagship SUV, with bold exterior styling highlighted by a large chrome grille, polished alloy wheels, and extensive chrome trim. The vehicle measures 5,230 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, 1,817 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,120 mm, with a curb weight of 2,760 kg.

The PHEV powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 110 kW with two electric motors delivering 150 kW at the front and 230 kW at the rear.

The CATL NMC battery provides an electric-only range of 370 km, while the total combined range reaches 1,400 km. The SUV supports 800-volt 5C charging, allowing battery recharge from 20% to 80% in approximately 12 minutes. Voyah plans to launch the Taishan 9L in China in the fourth quarter of this year.
