Vietnamese automaker VinFast has introduced the VF 7, a C-segment electric SUV, in Indonesia, expanding its product range in one of Southeast Asia’s largest automotive markets. The launch, held at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, marks the company’s fifth model offering in the country.

The VF 7 is available in two variants: the VF 7 Eco and the VF 7 Plus. The vehicles are priced at IDR 499 million and IDR 599 million respectively (on-the-road, battery included). Early buyers—either the first 200 customers or those taking delivery by September 1—are eligible for promotional prices of IDR 468 million for the Eco and IDR 568 million for the Plus.

Both variants feature a design developed by Torino Design, with a coupe-inspired roofline, LED lighting elements, and alloy wheels up to 19 inches. The interior includes a 12.9-inch touchscreen, heads-up display, and a two-tone steering wheel. “The VF 7 reflects our design-led approach and commitment to providing innovative and sustainable mobility options,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia.

The VF 7 Eco is powered by a single electric motor with 174 horsepower and a 430 km range under the NEDC standard. The VF 7 Plus comes with dual motors delivering 349 horsepower and a 471 km range. Safety features include seven airbags, electronic stability control, and driver-assistance systems such as Highway Assist and 360 Surround View, offered in the Plus variant.

VinFast is also providing several promotional incentives at GIIAS 2025. These include free charging at V-GREEN stations until March 1, 2028, and travel vouchers of IDR 7 million for the first 125 VF 7 buyers. Additional offers are available for other models in the company’s lineup, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34.

VinFast stated that it is continuing to work with partners across Indonesia to expand its dealership and service networks. “Our goal is to promote sustainable transportation and give Indonesian consumers more EV choices,” said Hardjosoemarto.
