VinFast has expanded its newly created ultra-luxury brand Lac Hong with two additional electric models, the 800S and the 900S, as part of a broader strategy to segment its vehicle portfolio.
The company said it will operate three brands going forward: VinFast for its core passenger vehicle lineup, Lac Hong for ultra-luxury vehicles, and the Green brand dedicated to commercial mobility. The Lac Hong range currently includes the 900 LX introduced last year, with the 800S SUV and 900S sedan scheduled to enter the market in 2027.

While VinFast has not yet disclosed full specifications, the 800S appears to be positioned as a full-size SUV, while the 900S is designed as a large luxury sedan. Both vehicles are expected to offer multi-motor electric drivetrains with up to three motors—two on the rear axle and one at the front—delivering a combined output of up to 460 kW.
“The Lac Hong 800S and 900S are further proof of VinFast’s superior technological mastery, product development, and manufacturing capabilities,” said Duong Thi Thu Trang.

Both models adopt a design language that blends traditional Vietnamese elements with modern luxury styling. The front end features a large rectangular grille with a V-shaped lower section and vertical slats inspired by bamboo. Split headlamps with ultra-slim daytime running lights sit above the main lighting units, while a bonnet ornament referencing the mythical Lac bird forms a central design element.
The 800S SUV features a sloping roofline, multi-spoke wheels and a chrome strip running along the side profile, connecting the front and rear lighting signatures. The 900S sedan adopts a more streamlined silhouette with larger five-spoke wheels, sleeker mirrors and a gently descending roofline that merges into a short rear deck.

At the rear, both vehicles feature slim tail lamps that reinterpret VinFast’s V-shaped lighting motif. The SUV adopts a more restrained surface design, while the sedan integrates additional contouring and vertical styling elements on the boot lid.
Inside the cabin, the models feature a minimalist interior layout combined with premium materials such as natural wood veneers and gold-plated trim. Unlike some recent luxury vehicle trends, the design retains a conventional steering wheel and avoids dedicated front passenger display screens.

Both models will include features such as automatic doors, zero-gravity seats and a fully active suspension system. The 900S sedan adds further luxury elements, including a starlit headliner, a privacy glass partition between front and rear passengers, and rear-seat entertainment features such as a projector and fold-out table.
VinFast has not confirmed international launch plans for the new Lac Hong models. As with the 900 LX, the vehicles may initially be offered primarily in the Vietnamese domestic market.
