Yamaha E01 has three electric charging options that can be tailored to the needs of its users. The first option is a fast charger, where users only need an hour to charge the battery from 0 to 90 percent. The fast charger method will be available at Yamaha dealers and some of their partner companies.

The second option, consumers can use the normal charger method which takes five hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent. The normal battery charging device is very likely to be installed in the homes of the electric vehicle owners.

The third is a portable charger with a longer charging time, which is 14 hours from 0 to 100 percent of battery capacity. The device will be carried by the user to charge the battery in certain places.

Yamaha E01 uses a permanently installed (non-removable) 8.1 kW battery. The Yamaha E01 uses Yamaha’s own electric motor with a battery that can cover a distance of 130 km when fully charged (at a constant speed of 60km/h and depending on traffic conditions).

Dimensionally, the Yamaha E01 measures 1,930mm long × 810mm wide × 1,190mm high with a sitting position height of 755mm.

Yamaha E01 is equipped with three driving modes, the first is PWR with a maximum output of 8.1kW/5,000rpm, maximum torque of 30.2Nm/1.950rpm and a maximum speed of 100km/hour. The second mode is STD with a maximum output of 8.1kW/5,000rpm, maximum torque of 24.5Nm/1,500rpm and a maximum speed of 100km/h.

While the saving mode, or ECO, has a maximum output of 5.4kW/4,500rpm, a maximum torque of 21.4Nm/1,500rpm and a maximum speed of 60km/hour.

The motor uses electronic control as its brain by utilizing the functions of the Vehicle Control Unit (VCO), Battery Management System (BMS) and Motor Control Unit (MCU). There is also a reverse mode, regenerative brakes and a traction control system.
