Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette has unveiled two new models, the Tesseract electric maxi-scooter and the Shockwave electric enduro motorcycle, marking a significant step toward becoming a mainstream brand. The company, known for its high-performance electric motorcycles, aims to broaden its market reach with plans to introduce ten more models by 2028.
Tesseract: A Futuristic Electric Maxi-Scooter
The Tesseract is positioned as a high-tech maxi-scooter featuring a futuristic design and advanced rider assistance technologies. Available in three variantsā3.5, 5, and 6āeach corresponds to its battery capacity in kilowatt-hours (kWh). The scooterās top-end version is powered by a 15 kW electric motor, delivering a top speed of 125 kilometers per hour.
Range capabilities vary by model, with the 3.5 variant offering 162 km, the 5 variant reaching 220 km, and the 6 variant extending up to 261 km. The scooter also supports fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 80% from 20% in under 30 minutes.
One of the standout features of the Tesseract is its integrated radar and dashcam system, making it the first electric scooter globally to incorporate radar-based safety technology. The system includes Blindspot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Overtaking Assist, and Collision Alerts, improving rider safety. The scooter is also equipped with āOmnisenseā mirrors, featuring LED displays for safety warnings, and a 7-inch TFT touchscreen.

Additional features include connected vehicle technology, enabling Remote Lockdown, Crash Alerts, Ride Analytics, and Anti-Theft Alerts. Other notable highlights include 14-inch wheels, dual projector headlights with floating DRLs, and a 34-liter under-seat storage compartment.
The Tesseract is priced at ā¹145,000 ($1,524), with an initial promotional price of ā¹120,000 ($1,262) for the first 50,000 units. Since its launch, the model has received 20,000 pre-bookings within 48 hours.
Shockwave: An Off-Road Electric Enduro Motorcycle
Targeting off-road enthusiasts, the Shockwave is an electric enduro motorcycle inspired by traditional two-stroke enduro bikes. The model features a lightweight 120 kg frame, paired with a 10.8 kW mid-drive motor and a 3.5 kWh battery pack.
The Shockwave rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, with 90/90 R19 and 110/90 R17 tires, respectively. It incorporates a 37 mm cartridge-type front suspension with 200 mm travel and a mono-shock rear suspension with 180 mm travel, designed for off-road capability.

Braking performance is supported by a 270 mm front disc with a dual-piston calliper and a 220 mm rear disc with a floating single-piston calliper. The motorcycle achieves a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour and has a range of 165 kilometers on a single charge.
Priced at ā¹175,000 ($1,840), the Shockwave is available at an introductory price of ā¹149,999 ($1,577) for the first 2,000 units. It has already garnered 1,000 pre-bookings within 24 hours of launch.
Ultravioletteās Expansion Strategy
Currently, Ultravioletteās portfolio includes the F77 Mach 2 and F77 SuperStreet, sold in India and select international markets such as Nepal, Germany, and Italy. The company is preparing to expand into Turkey and Southeast Asia as part of its global growth plans.
By 2028, Ultraviolette aims to sell at least 100,000 electric vehicles annually across domestic and international markets. To support this expansion, the company has committed $100 million (approximately ā¬92 million) in investments by 2028-2029, focusing on new product development, increased manufacturing capacity, and retail network expansion.
