Toyota has revealed its sixth-generation RAV4, marking a full shift to electrified powertrains across the lineup with both Hybrid (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) options. The new RAV4 PHEV will deliver up to 52 miles of electric-only range, introduce DC fast-charging capability, and include new GR SPORT and Woodland grades.
Hybrid models are scheduled to reach dealerships in December 2025, with prices starting in the low $30,000s, while PHEV versions will follow in spring 2026, Toyota said. The updated lineup is built on the automaker’s TNGA-K platform, featuring improved rigidity, refined suspension, and new aerodynamic components aimed at boosting ride comfort and stability.

The Plug-in Hybrid uses a sixth-generation system with 324 horsepower, 52 miles of EV range, and an estimated 41 MPG combined. Select PHEV trims will support 11-kW AC and DC fast-charging, allowing a 10–80% charge in about 30 minutes.
New for 2026, the GR SPORT trim—exclusive to the PHEV—adds GR-tuned suspension and steering, aerodynamic upgrades, and 20-inch performance wheels, while the Woodland grade offers off-road capability with all-terrain tires, higher ground clearance, and towing capacity up to 3,500 pounds.
