Tesla is rolling out an upgrade for the Cybertruck’s windshield wiper after owners reported streaking issues on the vehicle’s large front glass, particularly in winter conditions, according to Wes Morrill, the Lead Engineer for the Cybertruck program.

Morrill stated that Tesla has developed a software update, version 2025.2.8, to address the problem. The fix has already reached some Cybertruck owners and is expected to roll out to the rest of the fleet in the coming days.
Tesla has tested the improvement in winter conditions across regions like Quebec and Alaska. While some suggested slowing the wiper’s speed, Morrill explained that this could reduce visibility and increase washer fluid consumption, leading the company to implement an alternative solution.
