Tesla has again revised the naming of its advanced driver-assistance software in China, a move that has fueled speculation that the company may be preparing for a broader rollout of its Full Self-Driving technology in the market.

The company’s Chinese website now refers to the feature as “Tesla Assisted Driving” instead of its previous naming, while maintaining the package price at 64,000 yuan ($9,420).

According to Tesla China’s website, the package includes all functions from the company’s basic and enhanced assisted-driving systems, with the full version of Tesla Assisted Driving listed as “available later.”

“In the future, vehicles will be able to complete most driving tasks with minimal driver intervention,” the company said in its description of the feature.

This marks the latest change to Tesla’s smart driving terminology in China. In March last year, Tesla removed the “FSD” branding from the Chinese version of the package, renaming “FSD Intelligent Assisted Driving” to simply “Intelligent Assisted Driving.”

The latest adjustment comes shortly after Tesla announced on social media platform X that its FSD Supervised system is now available in several countries, including China.

The announcement represented the first public confirmation by Tesla that its advanced supervised autonomous driving technology had entered the world’s largest automotive market.

The development follows a recent visit to China by U.S. President Donald Trump, during which Elon Musk accompanied the delegation as a business representative.

Tesla has not yet provided detailed information on how its system will adapt to China’s complex urban road conditions and local regulatory requirements.
