Tesla has introduced a new feature on its official website that allows you to choose a location for a new Supercharger station.
This feature makes a lot of sense because as users, consumers have their own ideas about the shortcomings of the charging infrastructure around them.
However, what’s interesting is that you don’t need to be a Tesla owner to vote, but you do need to have a Tesla account to log in.
Tesla said it plans to use the voting results to help decide on future locations.
However, it does not say that the poll results will determine the exact location. Companies will have to consider other aspects to decide on the best location, but voting will definitely help. There are currently 183 suggested locations in several areas around the world.
The Tesla Supercharger network is one of the largest and furthest in the world, especially when it comes to DC Fast Charging stations.
By 2022 the company has launched its 35,000th Supercharger charging point. However, this amount is not enough to service Tesla’s electric vehicles sold. Currently the ratio of the number of Tesla electric vehicles and Superchargers is 750 to 1.
