In its latest software update, Tesla has introduced significant improvements to both its Autopilot system and cabin comfort features. Rolling out with the 2024.20 Software Update, these changes aim to enhance safety and convenience for Tesla owners.

One of the key updates involves Tesla’s Autopilot “dog house,” more commonly known as “Autopilot Jail,” which penalizes users for misusing the system. With the removal of the Steering Wheel Nag, which reminds drivers to keep their hands on the wheel, Tesla is refining how penalties will be applied for those who do not comply with the requirement to pay attention while using Autopilot.

Regarding HVAC performance, Tesla has focused on improving efficiency and comfort in warmer weather. The AUTO climate mode has been enhanced to cool down the cabin more efficiently and rapidly, while also reducing noise levels from the A/C fans. This update comes just in time for the approaching summer months, ensuring a more comfortable driving experience for Tesla owners.

According to a statement from Not a Tesla App, Tesla is implementing a new system for removing strikes related to Autopilot misuse. Drivers will now have the opportunity to have strikes removed by going a week without receiving one. This change is aimed at incentivizing safer driving practices while using Autopilot.

Tesla owners have long appreciated the cabin pre-conditioning feature, which helps to cool down the interior before entering the vehicle. With these latest updates, Tesla is further enhancing the driving experience by ensuring that the cabin remains comfortable even in the hottest weather conditions.
