During the Chinese New Year holiday, Tesla drivers in China collectively traveled over 700 million kilometers (435 million miles), as reported by Tesla China on local social media. This significant distance, equivalent to circling the Earth 18,346 times or making seven round trips between the Earth and Mars, was achieved between February 10th and 17th.
The all-electric nature of Tesla’s vehicles meant that these miles were emissions-free, leading to a reduction of approximately 160,000 tons of CO2 emissions, which is comparable to planting approximately 9.39 million trees, as reported by CNEV Post.

The report from Tesla China also highlighted the convenience and reliability of Tesla’s Supercharger Network, with hundreds of Tesla drivers recording daily averages exceeding 500 kilometers (310 miles) of travel during the holiday. This achievement not only demonstrates the long-range capabilities of Tesla’s electric cars but also underscores the effectiveness of the Supercharger Network.
Tesla’s extensive charging infrastructure in China includes over 1,900 Supercharger stations with over 11,000 individual chargers, along with over 700 destination charging stations offering an additional 2,000 charging piles.
