TatvaSoft has joined forces with InstaVolt, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the UK, to provide a seamless and user-friendly charging experience for EV drivers. InstaVolt aims to make EV charging as simple and transparent as possible, allowing customers to pay only for the electricity they consume using any contactless credit/debit card.
To achieve its goal, InstaVolt sought a technology partner that could develop customized software solutions to enhance its customer offerings while maintaining its user-friendly approach and reliability. TatvaSoft rose to the challenge by creating a serverless, microservices-based solution that implements industry-standard EV network protocols, such as OCPP and OCPI.

The software platform developed by TatvaSoft includes an eMSP back-office system to support the customer-facing mobile app, which allows EV drivers to view InstaVolt locations and charging station availability via an interactive map. The app also enables customers to start and stop charging sessions, as well as pay for them. To enhance the overall charging experience, TatvaSoft added support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and routing services.
Chief Technology Officer at InstaVolt, Gary Kirkland, said, “We chose TatvaSoft as our software provider because of our confidence in the service they provide. The team at TatvaSoft took a collaborative approach, working closely with the InstaVolt team to build out our vision to deliver class leading eMSP services to our customers. TatvaSoft’s agile method of working has been the key to delivering the software platform to our required times scales and budget, allowing InstaVolt to move quickly in an ever-changing market.”
