Subaru of America announced pricing and key specifications for the all-new 2026 Trailseeker, its latest battery-electric sport utility vehicle, as the automaker expands its presence in the U.S. electric vehicle market.
The Trailseeker will begin at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $39,995 for the entry-level Premium trim, excluding destination charges, and is scheduled to reach U.S. retailers in early 2026. The model will be Subaru’s second all-electric SUV after the Solterra and will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS), giving access to more than 25,000 fast-charging stations across the country.

Powered by a 74.7-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, the Trailseeker produces a combined 375 horsepower and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 4.4 seconds, making it the quickest production vehicle Subaru has offered in the U.S. The automaker said the updated electric version of its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system features revised torque distribution, regenerative braking control and continuous traction optimization.
The Trailseeker is expected to deliver an estimated driving range of about 280 miles on a full charge. With DC fast-charging support of up to 150 kilowatts, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in as little as 28 minutes under ideal conditions. A battery preconditioning system is included to help preserve charging performance in cold climates.
Larger than the Solterra, the Trailseeker is more than six inches longer and nearly one inch taller, offering 32.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. Utility features include a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds, raised roof rails rated for a 700-pound static load, and an off-road-oriented X-MODE dual-mode system with 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

The model will be offered in three trims. The Premium version includes a 14-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats and Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance system. The Limited trim, priced from $43,995, adds a Harman Kardon sound system, heated rear seats, panoramic camera views and a 120-volt cargo-area outlet. The Touring trim, starting at $46,555, adds ventilated front seats, radiant leg warmers, a panoramic glass roof and exclusive two-tone paint options.
All versions include standard safety technologies such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, pre-collision braking, traffic jam assist and emergency steering. The Trailseeker will be assembled in Japan, Subaru said.
