Danish charging platform Spirii has entered into a partnership with French parking space rental provider Yespark Group to expand and digitalise electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Europe, the companies said on Thursday.
The agreement covers France, Belgium and Italy, where Yespark recently strengthened its presence through the acquisition of Zenpark. The company now manages more than 10,000 parking spaces across 6,000 sites in over 700 cities. Around 1,000 of those locations currently include charging points, which have all been migrated to Spirii’s charging point management system, Spirii Connect.
The system provides real-time monitoring, smart charging and energy management functions. “Migrating a charging network of our scale, while preparing it for future growth, is a complex undertaking that depends on trust,” said Charles Pfister, Yespark’s co-CEO and co-founder. “We now have a robust infrastructure in place that supports the scalability and innovation needed to drive our continued expansion across Europe.”
Spirii’s CEO and co-founder Tore Harritshøj said the deal would enable both firms to accelerate growth in charging services. “By combining our platforms, expertise and reach, we are positioned to offer the best user-centric charging experience across Europe, while ensuring high utilisation for our partner network,” he said.
Yespark’s platform allows users to book parking and charging through its app, while offering digitalisation tools for parking owners. The companies said the partnership is intended to support long-term growth in EV adoption in urban areas.
