New Zealand-based electrical solutions provider Singer Electric has partnered with EV charging management software firm Ampeco to develop the country’s largest electric vehicle charging network, targeting 2,500 installed chargers by the end of the year.
Singer Electric currently manages 500 of its 2,500 existing chargers through its proprietary Apollo platform. The integration of Ampeco’s software into Apollo is expected to enhance the company’s full-service EV charging offering, which includes consultation, installation, energy management, and ongoing maintenance for businesses transitioning to electric mobility.

“As New Zealand accelerates toward a sustainable future, they need partners who understand both the electrical infrastructure and the management systems that make charging networks efficient and profitable,” said Finn McLaren, Head of Sales and Marketing at Singer Electric. “AMPECO’s platform gives us the technological foundation to deliver on both fronts and supports our vision of connected buildings and transport systems that are energy-responsive and predictive.”
Singer Electric said adopting Ampeco’s technology allowed the company to save approximately 12 months of development time compared to building an in-house solution.
