Renault has begun taking pre-orders for the Twingo E-Tech Electric in selected European markets as part of its R-Pass pre-order programme, with the battery-electric city car initially offered in the top-spec “Techno” trim.
The Twingo E-Tech Electric Techno is priced from €21,090 before government incentives and will be available to R-Pass customers in Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands from December 16. Orders will open to the wider public on January 8, 2026, Renault said.

The Techno trim is the highest specification for the electric Twingo and includes Renault’s OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in, adaptive cruise control, automatic climate control, a rear-view camera, one-pedal driving and a foldable front passenger seat backrest designed to accommodate longer items in the compact vehicle.
Renault also confirmed that a lower-priced version, the “Evolution” trim, will open for orders in spring 2026, with prices starting at €19,490 before incentives. The company noted that national subsidies could significantly reduce the effective purchase price. In France, for example, Renault estimates the Twingo E-Tech Electric could be available from €14,720 for low-income households under current incentive schemes.

Despite its lower price, the Evolution trim still includes a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch central touchscreen, cruise control, emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance. Unlike the Techno version, it does not feature Google integration, a rear-view camera or automatic climate control, and comes with manual air conditioning and parking sensors instead. Individually adjustable rear seats are included as standard.
The Evolution version’s pricing reflects technical differences. As standard, it supports 6.6 kW AC charging only. An optional “Advanced Charge” package, priced at €500, adds an 11 kW bidirectional onboard charger and DC fast-charging capability of up to 50 kW, allowing a 10–80% charge in around 30 minutes. The package also enables vehicle-to-load functionality of up to 3.7 kW and, in some markets, vehicle-to-grid capability, while keeping the list price below €20,000 in certain countries.

Renault cautioned that pricing and specifications may vary by market. In Germany, for example, the company has said the Twingo E-Tech Electric will be equipped with DC charging as standard, even in the base trim, though final pricing has not yet been confirmed.
The new Twingo is built on a modified version of Renault’s AmpR Small platform. While production takes place in Europe, Renault said its Shanghai operations played a significant role in development to reduce costs and accelerate timelines. The model is powered by a 60 kW electric motor and uses a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery supplied by CATL, offering a range of up to 263 kilometres under the WLTP cycle.
