PowerGo has inaugurated two new ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging points at the Jumbo supermarket in Bedum, Netherlands, marking the fastest public charging location in the Groningen region.
Each charger delivers up to 320 kW of power and incorporates advanced technology, including dynamic pricing, battery storage integration, and solar-powered operation, to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

The new charging site operates with a dynamic pricing system that adjusts in real time based on electricity market rates, allowing users to benefit from lower prices when renewable energy supply is abundant.
EV drivers can track pricing for the next 24 hours through the PowerGo Charge app, which also offers a promotional discount on the dynamic kWh rate. The station’s integrated battery system reduces strain on the local grid by storing excess energy for later use, particularly during peak demand periods.

PowerGo’s charging stations are fully powered by solar energy sourced from Dutch solar parks owned by its parent company, PowerField, reinforcing the company’s commitment to green infrastructure. Designed for customer convenience, the chargers are located in the supermarket parking area, enabling shoppers to recharge their vehicles while shopping.
The new facility, located at Noordwolderweg 7, 9781 AD, Bedum, represents another step in PowerGo’s strategy to expand fast, sustainable charging options across the Netherlands.
