Pilot Travel Centers has expanded its electric vehicle charging network by adding 50 new DC fast-charging locations during the first half of 2026, increasing its nationwide network to more than 300 charging sites.
The Tennessee-based company said the latest expansion covers 25 U.S. states and means electric vehicle charging is now available at more than one-third of its travel center locations.

According to data from the DCFC Tracker, Pilot’s charging network currently includes 309 charging stations with a total of 1,323 individual charging stalls.
Nationwide Charging Expansion
Pilot continues to develop its charging infrastructure through its partnership with EVgo, which operates more than 1,200 charging stations and over 5,200 charging ports across the United States.
The company said its charging network is designed to combine fast-charging capabilities with the services typically offered at its travel centers, including food, convenience retail and rest facilities.

Pilot also noted that many charging locations include weather-protected canopies and are monitored around the clock to support reliability for drivers.
According to the company, its charging network is intended to provide electric vehicle users with an experience similar to that offered to conventional vehicle drivers using its travel centers.
Broader Travel Center Investments
The charging rollout forms part of a wider investment program across Pilot’s retail network.
During 2026, the company opened new travel centers in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Ponce de Leon, Florida, while completing modernization projects at 18 existing locations across 13 U.S. states and Canadian provinces.
