Dubai’s leading paid parking provider Parkin has signed a 10-year agreement with charge&go to install 200 ultra-fast direct current (DC) chargers across the city, the companies said. The rollout is scheduled to begin in October 2025.

The network will be located at key residential, retail, and leisure sites to improve accessibility for electric vehicle (EV) owners. In the first phase, 20 stations will be installed in high-traffic areas, with full deployment of all 200 chargers expected within the following 12 months. The service will integrate with Parkin’s mobile app, offering real-time updates and secure in-app payments.

“This 10-year partnership with charge&go is a clear example of our commitment to providing cleaner, greener tech-driven mobility solutions,” said Parkin CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali. “Both Parkin and e& [the parent company of charge&go] share a commitment to leveraging technology to meet the needs of our digitally savvy clients, supporting Dubai’s ongoing transformation into a global, sustainable and future-ready city.”

Muammar Al Rukhaimi, CEO of Etisalat Services Holding, added, “Dubai is rewriting the playbook on how big cities can embrace sustainability at scale, and this EV charging rollout marks a decisive step forward. At e&, we are deploying cutting-edge technology that delivers real-world impact, ensuring quicker charging turnarounds and a superior customer experience.”

The initiative follows a memorandum of understanding signed in October 2024. Parkin operates roughly 212,000 paid parking spaces in Dubai and plans to implement a ‘park and charge’ protocol, ensuring charging bays are only occupied while vehicles are actively charging, preventing overstay and unauthorized use.
