Opel is preparing to unveil a high-performance electric concept car at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich next month, marking a new chapter for the automaker’s GSE performance sub-brand.

The unnamed show car, previewed in official teasers, will feature a fully electric powertrain, though its exact body style remains undisclosed. Highlights include Opel’s latest Compass lighting signature, combining vertical and horizontal LED strips framing illuminated emblems at the front and rear.

The exterior is finished in silver with lime yellow accents, paired with aerodynamic wheels inspired by the Manta 400 rally car from the 1980s.

The interior is designed with track use in mind, featuring a racing-inspired yoke, a lightweight driver’s seat, and a roll cage. Opel CEO Florian Huettl said the concept “will once again send pulses racing. It will preview upcoming models, impress with its stunning design and appeal to car enthusiasts around the globe. We will be revealing more details soon – so stay tuned.”

The reveal follows the recent introduction of the Mokka GSE, Opel’s first high-performance electric vehicle of its new era. Performance variants of other models, including the next-generation Corsa subcompact hatchback, are expected to join the lineup in the near future.

The IAA Mobility 2025 is scheduled to take place in Munich, Germany, from September 8 to 14.
