NIO's Power Europe facility in Hungary delivered its first Power Swap Station to Germany on Friday, September 16, which marks a milestone in the accelerated development of NIO Power in the European market.

The NIO Power Europe Plant, the first overseas NIO plant, is also the manufacturing, service and R&D center for NIO electrical products in Europe.

The focus of the plant is as a place for manufacturing and after-sales service of Power Plants, training for electric power operations in Europe, and innovation of power products.

At the NIO delivery ceremony, Qin Lihong, Co-founder and President of NIO said that as a truly global company, NIO regards Hungary as an important step for its development in Europe. He also thanked the Hungarian government for supporting NIO.

When NIO Power's European Power Station goes into operation, Lihong said, it will support the company's goal of deploying 1,000 Power Stations outside of China by 2025.

“NIO is one of China's leading electric vehicle manufacturers with a global presence. The company has research and development centers and production facilities in various countries,” said Liu Bo, Minister Counselor, Economic, and Commercial Section, Chinese Embassy in Hungary.

Bo also believes that NIO will continue to stimulate innovation, emphasize independent research and development, and bring the world's most advanced technology and intelligent manufacturing capabilities to Hungary.

“I hope that NIO will also give back to local residents, promote local economic development, fulfill corporate environmental and social responsibilities,” he continued.
