Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has reduced charging prices across its MFG EV Power network by 25% for the summer, lowering the cost of ultra-rapid charging to 59p per kilowatt-hour (kWh) from 1 July to 30 September 2026.

The temporary pricing applies across nearly 600 locations throughout the UK and is designed to make public EV charging more affordable during the busy summer travel season.

Lower Charging Costs for EV Drivers

According to MFG, the new rate represents a saving of 20 pence per kWh, reducing the cost of a typical charging session by as much as £6. The company said the promotion positions MFG EV Power among the UK’s lowest-priced providers of ultra-rapid public charging during the summer period.

MFG EV Power currently operates more than 2,000 charging bays across almost 600 sites nationwide. The network recently began rolling out plug-and-charge functionality in partnership with Octopus Electroverse, allowing compatible vehicles to authenticate and begin charging automatically.

The network supports charging speeds of 150 kW, 300 kW, and up to 400 kW, enabling rapid charging for a wide range of electric vehicles.

Expansion of Charging Network

MFG’s charging infrastructure is installed across its nationwide network of fuel forecourts and at nearly 300 Morrisons supermarkets, extending access to public charging in both urban and regional locations.

The company continues to invest more than £400 million in expanding its EV charging business, a long-term programme first announced in 2021. As part of its electrification strategy, MFG plans to deploy more than 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers rated at 150 kW, 300 kW, and 400 kW across its estate.

Martin Symes, EV Director at MFG, said the summer promotion reflects the company’s commitment to supporting EV drivers with more affordable charging.

“This summer price drop is our commitment to British EV drivers: we are putting you first, cutting our ultra-rapid charging rate to just 59p/kWh so that your summer journeys are cheaper, greener and hassle-free.”

He added:

“With thousands of chargers across the UK and now one of the lowest rapid-charging prices in the country, there has never been a smarter time to go electric – now powered for less by MFG.”
