Mercedes-Benz Vans has revealed the Vision V, a concept designed to preview the top-end variant of its future electric van lineup, as the company moves to redefine luxury in the van segment.

Built on the upcoming Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA), the Vision V hints at a new luxury model known internally as VLS, positioning it as a “private lounge” on wheels, comparable to the brand’s S-Class in sophistication.

Alongside the VLS, a premium family-oriented variant called VLE will also be offered, targeting customers seeking flexible, high-end transport.

The Vision V features premium materials such as white nappa leather, silk, and open-pore burl wood. An automatically opening portal door, retractable illuminated step, and a private partition glass wall between the cockpit and lounge are among the highlights.

The lounge experience is elevated by first-class reclining seats, sideboard-style shelving, a 65-inch 4K cinema screen, and 42 loudspeakers, delivering what Mercedes describes as an “exclusive digital experience.” Mercedes-Benz emphasizes that the Vision V creates a unique segment in automotive luxury, expanding its top-end van portfolio beyond the current EQV.

While Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed final powertrain specifications for the Vision V, the VAN.EA platform is known to feature 800-volt technology, a 22 kW AC charger, and battery packs exceeding 100 kWh, targeting ranges above 500 kilometres.

The platform will also integrate the latest MB.OS infotainment system and offer advanced driver-assistance capabilities with potential for autonomous driving upgrades.

Mercedes-Benz is differentiating its future electric and combustion van strategies with dedicated platforms — VAN.EA for electric and VAN.CA for combustion models — enabling broader customization for private and commercial customers.
