Lynk & Co, the Geely-owned automotive brand positioned between Geely Galaxy and Zeekr, has revealed updated versions of its 07 EM-P sedan and 08 EM-P crossover in China. The two plug-in hybrid models, which will debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 29, feature roof-mounted LiDAR sensors aimed at enhancing their driver-assistance capabilities.

The additions mark a strategic effort by Lynk & Co to strengthen the appeal of its mid- to high-end lineup amid intensifying competition in China’s new energy vehicle market. While the brand currently offers ten models domestically, the 07 EM-P and 08 EM-P have struggled to keep pace with its top sellers.

From January to July 2025, sales of the 08 EM-P reached 21,425 units, placing it fourth in the company’s hierarchy, while the 07 EM-P sedan ranked sixth with 11,057 units. By contrast, the 03 sedan, largely powered by internal combustion engines, remains the brand’s strongest performer.

The refreshed 07 EM-P and 08 EM-P adopt styling cues from Lynk & Co’s “The Next Day” concept, including headlamps integrated into the bumper and slim LED running lights positioned near the bonnet. The 07 EM-P sedan debuts with a red-themed interior, while the 08 EM-P crossover introduces an orange cabin option. Despite being presented as all-new, exterior and hardware revisions are relatively minor, with most of the upgrades centered on driver-assistance systems.

At the core of the update is the integration of LiDAR technology, which is expected to support Lynk & Co’s G-Pilot H5 system. Powered by dual Nvidia Orin X chips delivering 508 TOPS of computing performance, the system enables Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) functions on urban roads.

Higher-end trims may adopt the G-Pilot H7 platform, incorporating Nvidia’s latest Drive Thor processor capable of 700 TOPS. This advanced suite allows for point-to-point navigation without preloaded maps as well as memory parking, capabilities previously introduced in the Lynk & Co 900 SUV.

In terms of specifications, the 07 EM-P sedan measures 4,835 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,843 mm. Its plug-in hybrid system pairs a 1.5-liter engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 280 kW (375 hp). Equipped with a 19 kWh battery, the sedan can travel up to 126 km on electric power under China’s CLTC testing cycle.

The 08 EM-P, positioned as a mid-size crossover, measures 4,825 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, and 1,660 mm high, riding on a 2,848 mm wheelbase. The entry-level version features a front-wheel-drive system with 280 kW of output, while a more powerful all-wheel-drive variant adds a second motor on the rear axle, delivering up to 436 kW (585 hp). Depending on the configuration, the SUV offers an electric-only range of 120 to 245 km.
