Chinese automaker Li Auto said it has delivered its 1.5 millionth vehicle, marking a new milestone for the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) specialist, even as it grapples with weakening sales momentum this year.
The company announced the achievement through its social media channels, about 14 months after surpassing one million cumulative deliveries in October 2024. Based on disclosed figures, Li Auto delivered just over 4,000 vehicles so far this month, after ending November with total cumulative deliveries of 1,495,969 units.

Founded in 2015, Li Auto initially built its business around extended-range electric vehicles that combine battery power with onboard gasoline generators. Its first model, the Li One SUV, entered the market in 2018 and was discontinued after total deliveries exceeded 210,000 units.
Over the past two years, the company’s sales have been driven mainly by its L-series EREV sport utility vehicles, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8 and Li L9. According to company data released on Monday, cumulative EREV deliveries have now exceeded 1.4 million vehicles, logging a combined driving distance of 54.5 billion kilometres. Of that total, about 35 billion kilometres were driven in pure electric mode, while 19.5 billion kilometres relied on fuel power.

Li Auto formally entered the pure battery electric segment in March 2024 with the launch of the Li Mega multi-purpose vehicle, followed by the launch of the Li i8 electric SUV in July and the smaller Li i6 electric SUV in September.
Despite the delivery milestone, the automaker has faced weakening performance this year, as competition intensifies in China’s electric vehicle market and sales of its core L-series models soften alongside slower-than-expected uptake of its battery electric vehicles.
