Chinese automaker Li Auto said it has entered three new overseas markets — Egypt, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan — extending its international presence following an earlier launch in Uzbekistan and marking a new phase in its global expansion.
The company said the move completes its core market coverage across Central Asia, the Caucasus region and Africa, shifting its overseas strategy from initial market entry to broader implementation. Li Auto announced the expansion on social media platform Weibo.

Li Auto has launched its L-series extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) in the three new markets, including the Li L6, Li L7 and Li L9, all sport utility vehicles. In China, the company’s lineup also includes the Li L8, as well as battery electric vehicle models such as the Li Mega MPV, Li i6 SUV and Li i8 SUV.
To support overseas customers, Li Auto said it will provide official warranty coverage, after-sales services and over-the-air (OTA) software upgrades, aiming to maintain a consistent user experience across markets.

“Launching in these markets marks a crucial step in our overseas development,” said Wu Zuomin, head of international business at Li Auto. He added that the company is focused not only on entering new markets but also on delivering a consistent ownership experience through cooperation with local partners.
Li Auto said it has accelerated its overseas expansion since October 2025, completing channel development and product launches in four key international markets. The company added that new models scheduled for release in 2026 will incorporate overseas regulatory requirements from the early research and development stage to improve global competitiveness.

The automaker opened its first overseas retail centre in Uzbekistan in October, where it sells the Li L9, Li L7 and Li L6. Compared with some domestic peers, Li Auto has been a later entrant to overseas markets. Rivals such as Xpeng and Nio began expanding internationally several years earlier.
