Li Auto, the pioneering extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) manufacturer, has once again set a remarkable milestone in its journey, as it recorded an all-time high in monthly deliveries for September. The company’s performance underscores its sustained growth trajectory and robust response to the burgeoning electric vehicle market.

In a recent data release, Li Auto disclosed that it delivered an impressive 36,060 vehicles in September, marking a staggering 212.72 percent year-on-year increase and a notable 3.28 percent rise compared to the previous month, August.

This achievement signifies Li Auto’s sixth consecutive month of record-breaking deliveries, further propelling its third-quarter performance into record territory. Third-quarter deliveries soared to an impressive 105,108 vehicles, surpassing the upper bounds of the company’s earlier guidance range, which had projected deliveries to fall between 100,000 and 103,000 vehicles.

Looking at the bigger picture, Li Auto’s cumulative deliveries for the year, as of the end of September, stood at a remarkable 244,225 units, reflecting a substantial year-on-year growth of 180.95 percent. Impressively, the cumulative deliveries since the company’s inception have now reached an astounding 501,559 units.

Li Xiang, the visionary founder, chairman, and CEO of Li Auto, attributed this impressive performance to the surging market demand. He stated, “Driven by the ever-increasing market demand, we made numerous historic breakthroughs in September, achieving record-high weekly and monthly sales performance as well as a new high in order intake with over 40,000 orders received in a single month.”

Li Auto’s current lineup includes the Li L7, a five-seat EREV, and the Li L8 and Li L9, both six-seat EREVs, essentially plug-in hybrids. For the second consecutive month, all three models in the L-Series achieved remarkable milestones by delivering more than 10,000 units each, according to the company’s recent announcement.

Highlighting its commitment to serving a growing customer base, as of September 30, Li Auto boasted 361 retail stores spanning 131 cities, complemented by 318 repair centers and authorized body and paint stores in 213 cities.
