Leapmotor posted record monthly deliveries in September, extending its streak of growth as demand for its lineup of electric and extended-range vehicles continues to build in China.
The Chinese new energy-vehicle (NEV) maker delivered 66,657 units last month, nearly doubling from 33,767 in the same period a year earlier and up 16.8% from August. It was the fifth consecutive month of record sales.

In the third quarter, Leapmotor delivered 173,852 vehicles, a 101.8% jump from last year and up 29.6% from the previous quarter. Year-to-date deliveries reached 395,516 units, more than double the 173,000 vehicles sold in the same period of 2023.
Cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 995,064 at the end of September, with the one-million mark expected to be reached in the coming days. The company said it produced its one-millionth vehicle on Sept. 25.

Leapmotor’s portfolio includes compact cars such as the T03 as well as SUVs including the C10, C11, and C16, available as both battery-electric and extended-range variants.
Founder and chairman Zhu Jiangming said in March the company would achieve sales of between 500,000 and 600,000 units this year. By August, the automaker raised its 2025 target to 580,000–650,000 vehicles. Zhu said the company aimed to challenge the one-million mark next year, citing stronger-than-expected momentum in 2024.

On Sept. 19, Leapmotor confirmed that its new flagship D19 SUV will debut globally on Oct. 16, priced from around RMB 300,000 ($42,140). The D19 will be the first model in its new D series.
