Leapmotor delivered 57,066 vehicles in August, achieving its fourth straight month of record sales and surpassing the 50,000-unit mark for the second time. The result reflects an 88.31 percent increase from a year earlier and a 13.84 percent rise from July.
From January to August, deliveries reached 328,859 vehicles, representing a 136.43 percent year-on-year gain. Since its inception, the company has delivered 928,407 vehicles, highlighting the rapid expansion of the Chinese new energy vehicle maker.
Leapmotor said it will unveil a new model, the Lafa 5, at the Munich auto show on September 8. The upcoming compact hatchback will be the first under the company’s new personalized strategy, with further details yet to be disclosed.
The company’s growth has supported an improved financial performance. Leapmotor posted a net income of 30 million yuan ($4.21 million) in the first half of 2025, its first positive half-year result. It became the second Chinese NEV manufacturer, after Li Auto, to achieve half-year profitability.
