Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor witnessed a decline in deliveries for January, citing seasonal factors that impacted major peers in the industry.
According to the data released by the company, it delivered 12,277 vehicles last month, reflecting a notable 34.06% decrease from December, despite a remarkable year-on-year increase of 977.88%.
Founded in 2015, Leapmotor initially focused on battery electric vehicle (BEV) models. However, in 2022, the company expanded its strategy by unveiling plans to introduce extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models, targeting a broader market for plug-in hybrids. Notably, Leapmotor launched the C11 EREV on March 1, 2023, and later introduced the C01 EREV on September 20.
Leapmotor commenced pre-sales of the C10 in China on January 10, offering both EREV and BEV versions. The pre-sale prices for the C10 EREV range from RMB 151,800 ($21,130) to RMB 181,800, while the C10 BEV is priced between RMB 155,800 and RMB 185,800.

In comparison to the market, the C10 is positioned at approximately half the price of Li Auto’s Li L7, a five-seat SUV available only as an EREV, currently priced from RMB 319,800 to RMB 379,800 for different configurations. Leapmotor reported over 23,500 pre-orders for the C10 as of today.
Additionally, Leapmotor has unveiled new sales promotions, offering comprehensive discounts of up to RMB 40,680 for the C01, up to RMB 28,680 for the C11, and up to RMB 17,630 for the T03. These offers include cash reductions, discounted loan rates, and limited-time gift packages available exclusively for the month of February.
