Leapmotor delivered 28,067 vehicles in February, posting a 10.99% increase from a year earlier despite a decline from January due to the Chinese New Year holiday, the company said.

The Chinese new energy vehicle maker, backed by Stellantis, reported that deliveries fell 12.45% from January’s 32,059 units, reflecting the impact of the nine-day Spring Festival break on production and logistics. Last year’s holiday occurred mainly in late January, reducing its effect on February figures.

To support future sales, Leapmotor said it will soon begin pre-sales of a new compact battery-electric sport utility vehicle, the A10, which will be marketed overseas as the B03X. The model is built on the company’s latest A platform and is intended as a key product for international markets.

Pricing and launch timing have not yet been disclosed. Earlier information indicated that the top variant could be priced below 100,000 yuan (about $14,600) in China, with deliveries expected to start in the first half of the year.

The five-seat SUV measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm. It will be the first model in Leapmotor’s new A-series lineup.

Leapmotor’s current portfolio in China includes the T03, B10, B01, C01, C10, C11 and C16. The T03, B01 and B10 are offered exclusively as battery-electric vehicles, while the remaining models also have extended-range electric versions.
