Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) launched its first models in Hong Kong on Thursday, continuing its global expansion with the introduction of the T03 compact electric vehicle and the C10 SUV.
The company announced the start of local pre-sales at the 2025 Hong Kong auto show, offering the right-hand drive T03 at a starting price of HK$99,900 ($12,728), and the C10 at HK$199,900.
Leapmotor currently offers six models in mainland China—T03, B10, C01, C10, C11, and C16—with all except the T03 and B10 available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions. The T03, Leapmotor’s most affordable model, received an update in China earlier this year and now starts at RMB 59,900 ($8,340).
The C10, launched in March 2024 as Leapmotor’s first global model, was updated in May with a starting price of RMB 122,800 in China. In September 2024, Leapmotor began offering the T03 and C10 in 13 European markets, underscoring its push into international territories.
Leapmotor now operates in more than 24 global markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. As of June 5, the company has established over 600 overseas sales and service locations. Yesterday, it announced the opening of its first store in Hong Kong, marking its 1,500th global outlet.
The right-hand drive models are eligible for Hong Kong’s first-registration tax exemption policy for BEVs, the company said. Leapmotor added that its presence in Hong Kong could help grow sales of its D-series lineup, which will likely include electric MPVs aimed at households facing high fuel costs for traditional vehicles.
