Leapmotor delivers 10,069 vehicles in May 2022, up 215.15 year-on-year

Leapmotor, China’s electric vehicle startup, delivered 10,069 vehicles in May. Latest record monthly high, over 10,059 in March.

The number of vehicles delivered in May rose 10.81 percent compared to April and increased by 215.15 percent compared to the same month last year.

During 2022 (January-May), the total number of Leapmotor deliver was 40,735 units, an increase of 347.44 percent over the same period last year.

Leapmotor is a start-up company that was founded in 2015 and has several portfolios of electric vehicles such as the T03 minivan, S01 coupe and the flagship SUV C11. For each of the models, the company does not release sales figures.

On May 10, the Leapmotor C01 electric sedan, and customers can place orders with prices starting at RMB 180,000 ($26,770).

The C01 is a mid-size electric sedan that measures over 5 meters in length and has five versions with four range options including 500 km, 606 km, 717 km and 630 km.

Leapmotor C01 uses CTC (cell to chassis) technology, which will integrate the battery, chassis, and underbody together.

The Leapmotor C01 has body dimensions of 5,050 mm * 1,902 mm * 1,509 mm, a wheelbase of 2,930 mm and a trunk space of 496L.
