Kia has recently unveiled the pricing details for its highly anticipated EV9 electric SUV in the European market, specifically in Belgium. This comes on the heels of the vehicle’s successful debut in South Korea last week. With a focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Kia aims to make a strong entry into the electric vehicle segment.

The European market will initially have two variants of the EV9 equipped with a large battery pack. The Earth Launch Edition, featuring a rear-wheel drive and a 150 kW powertrain, comes with a price tag starting at €74,990. This version boasts a battery capacity of 99.8 kWh, ensuring an impressive range for eco-conscious drivers. Meanwhile, the GT Line Launch Edition offers an all-wheel drive and a more powerful 283 kW motor. The battery capacity remains the same for both versions. The GT Line Launch Edition can be yours from €80,423.

As for the seating configuration, the base price of the EV9 includes a seven-seat setup with three seats in the second row and two single seats in the third row. However, Kia provides customers with additional options. For an extra €600, two swiveling individual seats can be installed in the second row, offering versatility and the possibility to form a four-seat group in the rear. Alternatively, for €900, two “Relaxation” single seats can be added in the third row, allowing passengers to enjoy a particularly comfortable and flat reclining position during their journey.

It’s important to note that the pricing details released by Kia for Belgium may not directly correspond to other markets. In South Korea, for example, the EV9 variant with a large battery and rear-wheel drive is offered at a more affordable price of €55,900. Typically, pricing and equipment configurations are determined by the respective national companies of Hyundai-Kia.

While the prices for the base model, equipped with a 76.1 kWh battery and a 160 kW rear engine, have yet to be announced, Kia is actively preparing for the official market launch. According to the Spanish portal “Forocoches electricos,” the EV9 is set to debut in November, with the first deliveries expected in early 2024. This timeline highlights Kia’s commitment to providing European customers with an exceptional electric driving experience.

As the automotive industry continues to embrace electric mobility, Kia’s entry into the European market with the EV9 marks another significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future. With its attractive pricing and impressive specifications, the EV9 is poised to capture the attention of environmentally conscious consumers seeking the perfect balance of performance and eco-friendliness.
