Iveco has provided 40 eDaily electric vans to VIR by JP, a subsidiary of the French logistics company Jacky Perrenot Group, marking a significant step toward sustainable transportation in the commercial vehicle sector. These vehicles are designed to meet the growing challenges of environmental zones in city centres and support green delivery services.
However, the vans delivered to VIR by JP are not complete electric vans, but instead chassis that have been customized with bodies suited for the delivery of heavy and bulky goods such as furniture, household appliances, and fitness equipment.

The fleet of 40 eDailys operates primarily in the Paris region, with additional routes in Bordeaux and Salon-de-Provence. Each van covers an average of 150 kilometres daily and recharges overnight at the depot to complete its routes. The electric vans feature a 23-square-metre box body, three battery packs, and offer a range of up to 330 kilometres on a single charge. Powered by an electric motor that delivers 140 kW and up to 400 Nm of torque, these vehicles provide a sustainable solution for urban logistics.
The decision to invest in the eDaily fleet aligns with the Jacky Perrenot Groupās broader commitment to sustainable logistics. As part of its efforts to comply with upcoming European CO2 emission standards for vehicles, the group is advancing the transition to electric mobility. The eDailys’ quiet operation and reduced local emissions contribute to these environmental goals, helping transport companies meet the European CO2 emissions targets for 2035.

Jacky Perrenot’s commitment to electromobility is longstanding. In late 2023, the logistics company announced plans to acquire 168 electric trucks and 90 charging stations. This investment will further boost their fleet’s sustainability, with 100 of these trucks expected to come from MAN. The group is targeting 250 electric vehicles in its fleet by the end of 2025, reinforcing its dedication to the ongoing transformation of the logistics industry toward greener solutions.
