Hyundai Ioniq 5 Named Best Electric Vehicle by Cars.com for Second Consecutive Year

For the second consecutive year, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has secured the title of Best Electric Vehicle for 2024, according to Cars.com. The recognition underscores the vehicle’s well-rounded features, competitive pricing, and impressive performance.

Cars.com praised the Ioniq 5 for its spacious cabin, compact exterior dimensions, and avant-garde styling, noting its appeal to urban commuters. The AWD Limited model’s acceleration time of 4.72 seconds from 0-60 mph was highlighted as indicative of its commendable performance, along with its 350 kW DC fast charging capabilities, particularly useful for long-distance travel.

Ricky Lao, Director of Product Planning at Hyundai Motor North America, expressed pride in the Ioniq 5’s achievement, stating, “Being awarded Best Electric Vehicle by Cars.com for a second year in a row is further recognition of IONIQ 5’s enduring excellence.” Lao emphasized Hyundai’s commitment to electrification and the Ioniq 5’s continued leadership in the competitive EV market.

Cars.com’s Editor-in-Chief, Jenni Newman, commended the Ioniq 5 for its “speedy charging, abundant yet easy-to-use tech and avant-garde styling,” noting its well-balanced appeal for EV enthusiasts.
