Hyundai has teamed up with Amazon to bring its top-selling electric vehicles, including the Ioniq 5, to the e-commerce platform, making it easier than ever for customers to purchase EVs online. Starting today, shoppers can view, order, and arrange pickup for Hyundai’s electric models through the Amazon Auto program, eliminating traditional dealership hurdles.
The partnership simplifies car buying with a user-friendly interface on Amazon.com. Customers can browse inventory by make, model, trim, color, and features, all while enjoying transparent, haggle-free pricing. Trade-ins are streamlined through third-party evaluations, with quotes applicable toward the new purchase. Once the vehicle is ready for pickup at a local participating dealer, customers can drop off their trade-in at the same location.
Hyundai’s move marks a milestone in modern car sales as it aims to expand Amazon Auto next year with more participating dealerships and additional brands. Already a leader in the U.S. EV market with models like the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, Hyundai’s 2025 lineup is expected to drive further demand.
The updated 2025 Ioniq 5 features an extended range of up to 318 miles, ultra-fast charging from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes, and compatibility with Tesla Superchargers via a newly integrated NACS port. Hyundai’s three-row Ioniq 9 is also set to debut, further solidifying its position in the competitive electric vehicle market.
