Hyundai and Kia have sold more than three million units of environmentally friendly cars, according to official records from the South Korean automaker on Sunday (19/6) local time.
Since launching hybrid vehicles more than 13 years ago, the cumulative sales of Kia and Hyundai’s environmentally friendly vehicles have reached 3.01 million units.
For this year, from January to May, Kia and Hyundai recorded sales of 393,509 environmentally friendly cars.

In the first five months of the year, Hyundai and Kia reported a 5.9 percent year-on-year decline in car sales to 2.69 million units. But sales of their eco-friendly cars jumped 42.6 percent this year to 393,509 units in the period mentioned.
