Hubject has formed a strategic partnership with Numocity to deploy ISO 15118-based Plug&Charge technology across electric vehicle charging networks in India, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, the companies said.
Under the agreement, Hubject’s Plug&Charge solution will be integrated into Numocity’s charging management platform, which is used by charge point operators (CPOs) and eMobility service providers in more than 20 countries. The collaboration is intended to allow compatible electric vehicles to authenticate automatically with charging stations, removing the need for mobile apps or RFID cards.

The partners said the integration will give CPOs access to Plug&Charge functionality through a single commercial contract, simplifying deployment while supporting regional expansion in fast-growing EV markets. Details on the rollout timeline and first live deployments are expected to be announced in the coming months.
The technology is based on the ISO 15118 standard, which enables secure communication between vehicles and chargers. By embedding the functionality into Numocity’s platform, Hubject aims to extend its interoperability services into markets where charging ecosystems are still developing and user experience remains fragmented.
“This partnership with Numocity marks an important milestone in our global expansion of Plug&Charge technology,” said Christian Hahn, chief executive of Hubject. “India and the Middle East are essential to our global ambitions.”

Numocity Chief Executive Ravikiran Annaswamy said the collaboration addresses a key barrier to EV adoption in emerging markets. “Our collaboration with Hubject solves this by deploying true Plug&Charge technology, allowing the vehicle and charger to communicate automatically for instant authentication,” he said.
The companies said the partnership also allows Hubject’s existing customers to leverage Numocity’s platform to enter or scale operations in India, Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern markets without building new backend systems. For drivers, the result is intended to be a more seamless charging experience, supporting wider adoption of electric vehicles in regions with rapidly growing demand.
