Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) plans to expand its model lineup to over 10 vehicles next year, nearly doubling its current offerings, local media outlet 36kr reported on Monday. The expansion includes a new Aito-branded SUV designed to rival Li Auto’s popular Li L9.

HIMA’s 2025 lineup will feature updates and new releases across its joint venture brands, including Aito’s M5, M7, M8, and M9; Stelato’s S9 and an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variant; Luxeed’s S7 and R7; and two models under the Maextro brand. Notably, the upcoming Aito M8 is set to challenge Li L9’s dominance, with Huawei focusing heavily on its product experience to compete in the high-end SUV market.

Currently, the HIMA portfolio includes six models across its Aito, Stelato, and Luxeed brands. The Aito M9, priced at over RMB 500,000 ($69,200), already competes with Li L9’s variants, which start at RMB 409,800 ($56,610). However, the Aito M8 aims to provide a more direct alternative at a competitive price point.

HIMA has also revealed plans for upgrades and new variants, including a wagon and longer-wheelbase version of Stelato’s S9 sedan. Since its launch in August, the S9 has been available exclusively in battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, starting at RMB 399,800 ($55,200).

As of October, Huawei’s HIMA initiative, spanning partnerships with Seres Group, BAIC, Chery, and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group, has delivered 500,000 vehicles in 32 months, signaling rapid growth in the competitive Chinese EV market.
