HTEC and Embotech have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the deployment of Level 4 autonomous driving technology across industrial vehicles, logistics facilities and multiple vehicle platforms.

Under the agreement, HTEC will provide engineering resources to support Embotech’s safety-certified autonomous driving platform, while Embotech will retain ownership of its core autonomy software, certified safety architecture and product development roadmap.

The companies said the collaboration is intended to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), logistics providers and industrial fleet operators deploy autonomous vehicle systems more efficiently across different operational environments.

Engineering Support to Accelerate Deployment

As part of the partnership, HTEC will contribute engineering expertise in several areas, including onboard software development, vehicle integration, connectivity and system validation.

The companies said these capabilities are expected to streamline the rollout of autonomous driving systems across multiple vehicle platforms while supporting production-scale deployments.

Embotech said the partnership comes as demand grows for its autonomous technology across factories, logistics centers, ports and other industrial sites, where efficient deployment has become increasingly important.

Level 4 Platform Already in Commercial Operation

According to Embotech, its autonomous systems currently move more than 2,500 vehicles every day across factories, logistics centers and ports.

The company’s TÜV SÜD-certified Level 4 platform combines artificial intelligence-based perception, prediction and motion planning with independently certified safety systems. The platform supports both vehicle-based and infrastructure-based autonomous operations.

Embotech said it is the first company to receive multiple TÜV-certified Level 4 autonomous driving certifications. Its Automated Vehicle Marshalling (AVM) and Autonomous Tractor Solution (ATS) operate on a common software platform and are deployed in automotive manufacturing plants, vehicle distribution centers, logistics yards and port facilities.

Andreas Kyrtatos, chief executive officer of Embotech, said the partnership is intended to support wider commercial deployment of the company’s technology.

“Our physical AI-enabled autonomy technology is already operating 24/7 in customer environments, and demand for Level 4 autonomous solutions continues to grow across industrial logistics. HTEC adds the engineering expertise to make deployments faster and easier to scale across vehicle platforms and multiple sites.”

Darko Todorovic, chief technology officer of HTEC, said large-scale deployment requires both advanced technology and engineering execution.

“Scaling autonomy in real-world vehicle environments requires more than innovation, it demands industrial-grade execution. HTEC brings deep expertise in embedded systems and OEM integration to deploy Embotech’s autonomy platform to multiple vehicle platforms. Together with Embotech, we’re enabling autonomous systems to deliver reliably across complex fleets, platforms and sites.”
