Honda presented two prototypes of its next-generation electric vehicles, the Honda 0 Series, at CES 2025: the Honda 0 Saloon and the Honda 0 SUV. Both models, which are expected to launch globally in 2026, mark a significant step forward for the automaker as it looks to expand its electric vehicle (EV) offerings.
The Honda 0 Series was initially previewed at CES 2024 with two design concepts, followed by more detailed information about the technologies driving the new models. In January 2025, Honda unveiled prototypes of the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV, showcasing the brand’s focus on “Thin, Light, and Wise” development principles. Both models incorporate a host of advanced technologies, including the new Asimo OS operating system, which promises ultra-personalized mobility experiences tailored to individual drivers.
The Honda 0 Saloon, a luxury sedan, has a design that bears similarities to last year’s concept, though some changes have been made. The gullwing doors of the original prototype have been replaced with conventional doors. The saloon features an angular, wedge-like body shape that evokes a futuristic aesthetic, making it a direct competitor to high-end EVs like the Lucid Air and Mercedes-Benz EQS. Honda describes the car as having a low, sporty design, while the interior offers a more spacious cabin than its exterior dimensions suggest.
Honda aims for the 0 Saloon to be the flagship model of the 0 Series. The vehicle will feature Level 3 automated driving capabilities, which allows the car to take control but requires the driver to be ready to intervene when necessary. The integration of the Asimo OS system will further enhance the driving experience with personalized features designed for individual users.
The second prototype, the Honda 0 SUV, is a mid-size electric SUV that draws inspiration from the Space Hub concept model shown at CES 2024. The SUV’s design focuses on maximizing interior space and flexibility while creating a comfortable and spacious cabin. Set for production in North America in the first half of 2026, the Honda 0 SUV will be the first model in the 0 Series to enter the market, demonstrating the application of Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” approach to SUV design.
Honda presented the first two models in the company’s new 0 Series line of EVs at #CES2025. Honda also debuted its original vehicle operating system (OS) for use in Honda 0 Series models.

Honda has plans to release a total of seven models in the 0 Series by 2030, each offering a minimum driving range of 480 kilometers. Production will be based in the U.S., starting with the Honda Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio, and later expanding to a new facility in Alliston, Ontario, expected to open in 2028.
The automaker also announced it would adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) for its electric vehicles, ensuring compatibility with Tesla Superchargers. Additionally, Honda is participating in the Ionna fast-charging joint venture, which aims to establish 30,000 fast-charging stations in North America by 2030. By that time, North American drivers of the 0 Series will have access to a network of 100,000 fast-charging points.
