The BK Group has announced the addition of caretaking services for electric vehicle (EV) charging parks in Germany and France to its expanding portfolio. The new service package includes cleaning the sites, emptying rubbish bins, maintaining green spaces, and providing winter services, with potential for expansion into other European countries based on demand.
For the past three years, the BK Group has honed its expertise in managing charging parks through its BK World locations, which offer lounges at EV charging sites. This experience has been leveraged to develop a new caretaking service tailored to the needs of charging infrastructure operators. The expansion is said to have been facilitated by winning a tender for over 300 charging parks, though the identity of the customer has not been disclosed.
The caretaking service includes a variety of maintenance tasks such as cleaning the entire charging park, providing waste containers, disinfecting charging point displays, graffiti removal, and offering special cleaning services upon request. A fee of 19 euros per month per charging point will be charged for the service, with pricing adjusted based on the usage and size of each individual location.
With the BK Group already managing over 6,000 locations across the facility management sector and operating numerous BK World sites with in-house property managers, the company says it is well-equipped to handle the new service offering. The service will initially be available in Germany and France, with expansion into other European countries possible should demand increase.
