Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire brand has opened pre-orders for its second all-electric motorcycle, the S2 Del Mar, in the US and Europe. While US customers can pre-order the electric motorcycle now, customers in Europe can start reserving it from 27 April. However, only 100 units are available for European customers, so they need to act fast. The S2 Del Mar will be available in four European markets – France, Germany, Netherlands, and the UK – but it is unclear if there is a particular allocation for each market or if it is first-come-first-serve. European customers must pay a $100 reservation fee, and the first deliveries are scheduled for September. In contrast, there is no reservation fee for customers in the US, and deliveries are set to begin in July.

The S2 Del Mar starts at $15,499 in the US, while the price tag varies for each European market: €20,190 in France, €19,990 in Germany, €20,390 in the Netherlands, and £18,990 in the UK (equivalent to €21,540). The launch edition of the S2 Del Mar in the US was initially limited to 100 units, which were sold out in minutes after the bike’s premiere in May 2022.
While the release from LiveWire does not mention any technical specifications, it is built on the Arrow platform, and it was previously announced to have a power output of 60 kW and weigh 440 pounds (200 kilograms) with a range of 100 miles (160 kilometres).

The launch of the S2 Del Mar follows the release of the LiveWire One, the brand’s first all-electric motorcycle, which became available for pre-order in Europe just a month ago, with deliveries scheduled to begin in April. Harley-Davidson is making a significant investment in electric mobility, and it will be exciting to see what other electric motorcycles the brand has in store for the future.
