Geely Galaxy will begin pre-sales of its six-seat hybrid SUV model M9 on August 23, with an event scheduled in Shanghai. The company is positioning the vehicle as its flagship AI-powered SUV aimed at the large SUV segment.

The M9 will be the first production model to feature Agent OS, an intelligent cockpit system jointly developed by Geely Auto and Chinese AI startup StepFun.

Introduced at the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai, Agent OS is built on StepFun’s Step-Audio end-to-end voice large language model, designed to offer more natural, knowledgeable, and emotionally responsive in-car interaction.

First unveiled globally in May in Milan, Italy, the M9 is based on Geely’s Geely Electric Architecture (GEA) and incorporates the latest generation Leishen EM super hybrid system.

The vehicle has a claimed combined range of over 1,500 km, fuel consumption of 4.8 liters per 100 km when the battery is low, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. It will also feature Geely’s mid-range G-Pilot H5 driver assistance system.

Geely Galaxy’s M9 is expected to compete in China’s hybrid SUV market against models such as the Aito M9, Denza N9, and Li Auto’s Li L9.
