Geely Galaxy M9 is positioned as a six-seat family vehicle with premium comfort, advanced driver-assistance features, and impressive performance. With up to 870 hp, a dual-chamber air suspension, and an electric range of 210 km, the SUV aims to compete in both domestic and global markets, with overseas expansion already on the horizon.
Unveiled as the production successor to the Geely Galaxy Starship concept shown at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, the Galaxy M9 reflects the futuristic design language of the brand, founded in 2023. It features a striking “Brilliant Galaxy” LED light strip connecting its headlamps, a single-unit taillight at the rear, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor.
With dimensions of 5205/1999/1800 mm and a 3,030 mm wheelbase, the SUV is only slightly shorter than the Mercedes-Benz GLS, but Geely claims an industry-leading 88.3% space utilization rate inside. Thanks to its adaptive suspension, the vehicle can alter its ground clearance by 95 mm, further enhancing driving versatility.
Inside, the Galaxy M9 follows a 2+2+2 seating layout across three rows. Each seat is equipped with power adjustment and heating, while the first and second rows also feature ventilation and massage functions. A 12.66-inch LCD instrument panel, head-up display, and an expansive 30-inch dual-use screen highlight the dashboard. Rear passengers benefit from a 17.3-inch 3K ceiling-mounted monitor, while amenities such as a 9.1-liter refrigerator, a folding table for the second-row passenger, and a 27-speaker Flyme Sound system add to the luxury appeal. Cargo space ranges from 328 liters with all seats in use to 2,171 liters with rows folded down.
Powering the SUV is the Geely Hybrid 2.0 EM-P system, combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with up to three electric motors. In its most powerful AWD configuration, the M9 delivers 649 kW (870 hp) and 1,165 Nm of torque, achieving 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Two battery options are available: 18.4 kWh for 100 km of range and 41.5 kWh for 210 km. Fuel consumption with a depleted battery is rated at 4.8 liters per 100 km. The model also integrates the G-Pilot H5 driver assistance system, which uses two Nvidia Drive Orin X chips (508 TOPS) and LiDAR to support high-speed autonomous emergency braking.
Pricing spans six trims, from the entry-level 2WD Start at 193,800 yuan ($27,040) to the top-trim 4WD Pilot at 258,800 yuan ($36,100). Other available versions include the Smart, Long-range, Long-range Smart, and Explore editions, giving buyers a wide range of options. With its combination of advanced design, powerful hybrid system, and tech-rich interior, the Geely Galaxy M9 strengthens Geely’s ambitions to expand its Galaxy brand beyond China in the coming years.
